Tombstone Soda is the ninth Perk-a-Cola in Zombies mode, introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops II on the map TranZit. It can only be bought and used while playing with more than one player, and it costs 2000 points.
It returns in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on the maps Die Maschine and Firebase Z.
Abilities[]
This perk is used when a player goes down. They would be given a message saying "Don't feed me to the zombies" with the action button to let the player commit suicide to have a Tombstone Power-Up spawn in their place. This would keep their entire inventory in that Power-Up and would only allow that player to pick it up after they respawn.
In Buried, a Persistent Upgrade is found and is based off of this Perk. However, going down would remove the last perk the player has (or Quick Revive first on Solo) before being revived. Other effects are not present.
In Call of Duty: Black Ops III, this Perk has been replaced with a Gobblegum called Aftertaste, which would save all the Perks after going down (with the exception of Quick Revive on Solo).
In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, now combined with the feature set of Who's Who, effectively combining the two perks together
With the addition of Perk Upgrades, Tombstone can be upgraded to increase it's features:
- At Tier I, it allows the player to regenerate health while in "Shadow" form.
- At Tier II, it increases the player's down time to 60 seconds.
- At Tier III, it adds the Tombstone power-up feature, allowing players to retriever their loadouts after bleeding out.
- At Tier IV, it allows the player to respawn at the end of rounds rather than the beginning of new rounds, taking this feature from the "Impatient" Gobblegum from Black Ops III.
- At Tier V, it removes Perk Decay, with the player only losing Tombstone after revival.
