"Poor Nikolai, I bet he'd get lost in here." - Tank Dempsey, when entering the Mud Pit Maze.

"Help! Help! I'm lost!" - Nikolai Belinski, when entering the Mud Pit Maze.

The Mud Pit Maze is a Utility in the map Shangri-La. If the player steps on a panel in the Mud Pit Maze, two-three walls will rise near them, along with more panels on the floor, forcing them to either turn around or follow the path it creates.

Walking beside the panels, and into the mud, will slow down the player greatly, and if another player walks on a panel, walls will rise and the player in the mud may get trapped.

Zombies will also be slowed down in the maze, fortunately. (Discluding Napalm and Shrieker Zombies)

Following the path the maze creates could lead you straight to the bridge, to the Water Slide, or it could turn you around back to where you came from. Some times, it will be as follows. Left, Right, Left, Left, Right. This will ltake you from the spawn room to the Water Slide, or the other way around.

There are 4 giant wheels in the corners of the maze on the wall. You will need to activate the Eclipse and turn these wheels to a certain order in order to complete the easter egg and obtain the Focusing Stone.

The walls and panels that appear will only appear when a player steps on them. If another player follows behind and steps on them, they will not disappear, and another maze will not form. When the first player that entered leave, the walls and panels will disappear, leaving whoever was in the maze behind them in the mud. This is why players should stick close together when entering the Mud Pit Maze.
