Template:Weapon The BAR, or M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, is an American machinegun/early assault rifle that is available on all of Call of Duty: World at War Nazi Zombies maps. This weapon is in Nacht der Untoten, Zombie Verruckt, Shi No Numa, and Der Riese. The BAR can be purchased off the wall in Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt and Shi No Numa. On Verrückt, it comes with an unusable bipod. The BAR has a small ammo capacity, medium range, and a low rate of fire. Double Tap Root Beer can aid in the weapon's slow fire rate, which becomes essential at higher levels.
The Widow Maker[]
When upgraded using the Pack-a-Punch Machine, the BAR becomes "The Widow Maker". After the upgrade, it has a higher rate of fire, higher damage and a larger magazine size.
Trivia[]
- Tank Dempsey seems to favor this weapon, as he may say "The BAR! My favorite!". This is probably because the BAR is American made.
- The BAR with bipod, along with any deployable weapon, can be deployed in Verruckt. In order to deploy a weapon, the player with the deployable weapon must stand directly behind another crouching player beside a railing. When deployed, the BAR fires three bullets for every time the fire button is pressed.
- The BAR with bipod can also be deployed in the morgue room in Verruckt, yet the specific location is extremely hard to find, and is practically useless
