The Extra Life is an power-up that can be obtained in the Dead Ops Arcade. Upon grabbing it, the player will receive an extra life. The icon for the power up looks like a floating person. The aurora will be the color of the player that is able to grab it.
An extra life will appear every time a player earns 200,000 Points and only that player may grab it. Rarely, they will appear after a round is completed. Once an extra life is lost, the player will lose some of their points in gem form. Other players may grab them while the player is respawning.
If another player has more than one life left, they will be forced to give the lifeless player one of their extra lives. Once every single player is out of lives, it is game over.
