Zombies[]
Zombies mode returns in Black Ops II, featuring Green Run, which includes three sub-maps, being Town, Farm, and Bus Depot, as well as three game modes, being TranZit, Survival, and Grief modes. Grief mode is introduced later. Turned which both involve players going against each other. The game play has been enhanced majorly such as using the modified Multiplayer engine to hold more capacity and other abilities, like Theater mode and being able to hold maps that enable players to fight each other.
More maps and content may be purchased via Downloadable Content (DLC) or pre-ordering the Hardened/Prestige Editions. The Hardened and Prestige Editions include Nevada, which includes a sub-map which is Nuketown Zombies. which is playable in Survival. Revolution includes the sub-map Diner in Green Run, which is playable in Turned, and Great Leap Forward, which includes a sub-map being Skyscrapers, which is playable in Die Rise. Uprising includes Alcatraz Island, which includes two sub-maps, which are Sunset Strip, being playable in Mob of the Dead, and Cell Block, being playable in Grief. Vengeance includes Resolution 1295, which includes two sub-maps, which are Processing, being playable in Buried, and Borough, being playable in Grief and Turned, as well as the Ray Gun Mark II. Apocalypse includes Excavation Site 34, which includes a sub-map being Excavation Site, which is playable in Origins. Nevada may also be bought as a separate DLC.

Town[]
Town continues the RGS Zombies Storyline, after the events of Moon and Nevada, where Richtofen gains control of the Zombies and launches 115 Missiles that attack Earth just as CIA and CDC Agents were killed while investigating the Nuketown after reports of a missing science group, including Marlton Johnson. At this time, the events of Farm, Bus Depot, Diner, and Borough take place, where the CIA and CDC sends agents to the Northern Hemisphere and the Primary Plates to fight off Zombies.
Town is playable in Survival and Grief modes.
Town features weapons from TranZit. There are five Wall Weapons, which are the M14, Olympia, Semtexs, MP5, and Galvaknuckles. There are six Perk-a-Colas (five on Solo), which are three of the four original (Quick Revive, Juggernog, & Speed Cola), Double Tap II, Stamin-Up, and Tombstone Soda, which is not available on Solo. Pack-a-Punch is found in the middle of the map, in the middle of the big lava pit, and there are two Mystery Box locations on this map, one where Double Tap II is found, and the other where Quick Revive is found. The Power-Ups remain the same as TranZit, with the Flesh Power-Up introduced in Grief mode, and weapons also stay the same as TranZit, but there is no main Wonder Weapon, and Ray Guns cannot be bought in Grief mode. Hellhounds are an optional Zombie Boss to fight in Custom Games, but otherwise, Zombies are the only threat.

Farm[]

TranZit[]
TranZit continues the RGS Zombies Storyline after the events of Town, Farm, Bus Depot, Diner, and Borough, where the CIA and CDC survive with/against each other against Zombies until they both meet their deaths.
TranZit features many weapons from the Black Ops II campaign, from both eras (Cold War & 2025), some recurring from Black Ops, such as the Galil and Olympia. This map also features six Perk-a-Colas (five on Solo), which are three of the four original Perk-a-Colas (Quick Revive, Juggernog, & Speed Cola), Stamin-Up, and Double Tap II & Tombstone Soda being introduced (Tombstone is not usable on Solo). Pack-a-Punch is featured and requires players to place their Turbine in front of the electrical door and going into the Vault in the Bank at Town, and then finally building the machine and having the power on. Buildables return as a major utility in the game, as well as the Bus and Streetlight Teleporters used as transportation. The Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23 (also known as the Jetgun) is the map's main Wonder Weapon, with the EMP Grenade as a Tactical Grenade featured in the map. The Power-Ups remain the same as Black Ops, with the exception of Fire Sale and Random Perk Bottle. Bonus Points/Blood Money returns only in singular form (blue glow only). The Avogadro is the map's main Zombie Boss, and Denizens are the map's Secondary Zombies that only appear in the Fog. The Bank and Fridge are introduced.
Persistent Upgrades can be used when playing online.

Diner[]

Diner resembles TranZit's Diner, except the Shed cannot be opened, the garage door is opened all the way rather than prone level, and cars block access to the fog.
Nevada[]
Nevada features no barricades as an obstacle of this map.
Nuketown Zombies[]
Nuketown Zombies continues the RGS Zombies Storyline, during the events on Moon, where Richtofen gains control of the Zombies. In this time, the CDC and CIA are sent to investigate the Nuketown after reports of a missing science group, which included Marlton Johnson.
This sub-map is playable in Survival mode.
This map features many weapons from the Black Ops II campaign, with some exclusive weapons such as the LSAT and M27. This map features Perk-a-Colas spawning randomly (except Solo, where Quick Revive comes first) with every 100 Zombies killed (starting round has a Perk), including Pack-a-Punch in the mix. They will fall from the mushroom cloud and land in set locations. There are no Barricades to rebuild, which eliminates the power-up Carpenter. All other power-ups return. This map has no main Wonder Weapon nor Boss Zombie, making Zombies the only threat. The Shed utility appears and lets players purchase the power-up that it shows.

Die Rise[]
Die Rise continues the RGS Zombies Storyline after the events of TranZit, where the TranZit Group activates the tower in the Northern Hemisphere.
Die Rise features many weapons from Green Run, with more weapons from the 2025 era. There are eight (seven usable) Perk-a-Colas, which are three of the four original, Stamin-Up, Mule Kick, Who's Who being introduced, and PhD Flopper as an unusable cameo appearance. All Perks spawn randomly each game, with Pack-a-Punch in the mix, spawning in each elevator. Different buildables appear and elevators are used to move around the map, besides doing parkour. Power-ups from TranZit return, with Random Perk Bottle returning as well, but Bonus Points not. The Sliquifier is the map's main Wonder Weapon and Jumping Jacks are the map's Zombie Bosses.
Persistent Upgrades can be used when playing online.
The Fridge and Bank were added after an update.

Alcatraz Island[]
Alcatraz Island is very close-quarters, which is a danger in this map.

Mob of the Dead[]
Mob of the Dead continues the ABT (A Better Tomorrow) Zombies Storyline after the events of Origins, where the Original Characters escape through the portal. At this time, the events of Shadows of Evil happen, where four characters fight Shadow Man. In this time, four prisoners from Alcatraz attempt to escape the island via Icarrus (plane).
Mob of the Dead features weapons from previous maps, especially from Nevada, as well as introducing many exclusive weapons, such as the Uzi and the M1927. There are eight (six usable) Perk-a-Colas, which are two of the four original (Juggernog & Speed Cola), Double Tap II, Deadshot Daiquiri returning from Black Ops, Electric Cherry being introduced, and PhD Flopper and Mule Kick as unusable cameo appearances. Instead of the Power Switch to power the map's utilities, each utility has its own "Volt Station," which are powered by shocking them in Afterlife mode, a mode which players are ghosts and go around to shock things and enemies in a certain time limit before they are revived by themselves or others or go down. Specific cells have Power-Ups in them and are opened in Afterlife. Power-Ups return from Nevada, with an Easter Egg-related Power-Up found during the Mob of the Dead Easter Egg. Buildables return and the Mystery Box receives a new appearance as well as the Teddy Bear, being a Lock instead. Pack-a-Punch is accessed on the Golden Gate Bridge after riding Icarrus, which is a buildable. The Gondola is used as transportation around the map. The map's main Wonder Weapon is the Blundergat, which can be upgraded to the Acid Gat using the Acid Gat Kit, another buildable. The Hell's Retriever is the Tactical Wonder Weapon of the map, and the Silver Spoon/Golden Spork is the map's Melee Wonder Weapon. Traps also return as a buyable utility, and Brutus is the main Zombie Boss of the map, being able to lock down Perk Machines, Mystery Boxes, and Workbenches, giving a fee of 2000 points to reopen, as well as Cerebus Dogs as Secondary Zombies.

Cell Block[]
Cell Block is a part of the ABT Zombies Storyline, as background info for Brutus.
Cell Block is only playable in Grief.
Cell Block features the same weapons as Mob of the Dead, with some Wall Weapons being found in the Mystery Box. There are five Perk-a-Colas, which are Speed Cola, Double Tap II, Stamin-Up, PhD Flopper returning from Black Ops, and Mule Kick. All utilities are powered. The Mystery Box is the same as Mob of the Dead, and Ray Guns are available. The Power-Ups return from Green Run Grief modes. Pack-a-Punch is where the Gondola entrance in Mob of the Dead is. The map's main Wonder Weapon is the Blundergat, with the same Traps from Mob of the Dead returning, and Brutus as the map's main Zombie Boss, with one Cerebus Dog as a Secondary Zombie.

Buried[]
Buried concludes the RGS Zombies Storyline, after the events of Die Rise, where the TranZit Group activates the second Tower.
Buried features the same weapons as Die Rise, with some exclusive weapons such as the Remington New Model Army and LSAT. There are seven Perk-a-Colas, which are three of the four original (Quick Revive, Juggernog, & Speed Cola), Double Tap II, Stamin-Up, Mule Kick, and Vulture Aid being introduced. Pack-a-Punch is accessible after turning on the power and traversing through the Ghost's Mansion and its Maze. Buildables return and new utilities, Chalk and Leroy or, (The Giant) are introduced. The Paralyzer is the map's main Wonder Weapon, with the Ray Gun Mark 2 introduced as a Secondary Wonder Weapon for Black Ops II, and the Time Bomb introduced as the map's Equipment/Tactical Wonder Weapon. Ghosts are the map's main Zombie Boss, and Power-Ups return from Die Rise, as well as Fire Sale and Bonus Points.

Borough[]

Pack-a-Punch is found in front of the Mansion and all utilities are powered. Buildables are found, already built. The Paralyzer is the map's main Wonder Weapon, and both Ray Guns can be bought from the Mystery Box, as well as the Remington New Model Army. There are only three Wall Weapons, which are the M14, Olympia, and AN-94. The Power-Ups return from Cell Block and Zombies are the only threat of the map.
In Turned mode, Borough's doors are open, but some areas that had debris on Buried (as this map resembles Buried) are found on this map, blocking either other areas of the map or potential camping spots for players.

Excavation Site 64 has mud and Robots as an obstacle of the map.

Origins[]
Origins introduces the ABT Zombies Storyline, where Richtofen leads the Original Characters to save the world from the Apothicons.
Origins features weapons from Alcatraz Island, like the M1927, as well at World at War, like the MP40 and STG-44. The Mauser C96 is the starting pistol of the map, replacing the M1911. There are nine Perk-a-Colas, which are three of the four original (Quick Revive, Juggernog, & Speed Cola), Double Tap II, Stamin-Up, PhD Flopper, Deadshot Daiquiri, Mule Kick, and Electric Cherry. Double Tap II, PhD Flopper, Deadshot Daiquiri, and Electric Cherry can only bought in a newly introduced utility, Der Wunderfizz ("The Wonderfizz" in German) and Double Tap II can also be obtained through the Rituals of the Ancients, which is a new utility in Origins. Pack-a-Punch is found in the middle of the map, at the top of the Excavation Site, and can only be accessed after all six generators have been activated. These are the source of power, rather than the traditional Power Switch, and require players to defend them from Crusader Zombies while powering up and throughout gameplay. Dig Sites are also introduced, and Buildables return as well. The Tank is used as transportation of the map. The Shovels and Golden Helmets are introduced, as well as new Power-Ups, which are Blood Money (same as Bonus Points), Empty Perk Bottle, and Zombie Blood, with Power-Ups from Buried returning. The Ice Staff, Fire Staff, Lightning Staff, and Wind Staff are the map's main Wonder Weapons, with the G-Strike as the Tactical Wonder Weapon, and One-Inch Punch as the Melee Wonder Weapon. The Panzer Soldat ("Tank Soldier" in German) is the map's main Zombie Boss, and Crusader Zombies as the Ritual
